This is a terrific question and I wouldn't recommend a roof-raking to anyone. I rake the roof because its flat and if I don't the rain water will not be able to escape into the drains causing a buildup of water on the roof causing a roof leak/collapse. Slanted roofs are all the rage for a good reason.
Pardon me for asking, but, why rake your roof? Do you tend to spend a lot of time there?
