As a supplement to my learning of Russian and its vocabulary, with a good ink pen I've been temporarily tattooing the belly of my forearm with words I want to learn. Today's tattoo is Нападение медведя. This means bear attack.
I think it's funny when Russians use their word for "what" a lot. And it always makes me smile inside when they say the equivalent of "how are you", which uses the same word.
Did you know медведь literally means "honey eater"? The theory is that ancient people thought that saying "bear" would summon the bear, so they had to use another word.

I expect to grow up any day now.
