I drafted my fantasy baseball team this past weekend. After a dramatic snafu (I lost internet access from rounds 3-5 leaving me with some late round picks in those places) I ended up with the following opening day lineup. What do you think of my chances?

C Jason Varitek
1B Jorge Cantu
2B Ian Stewart
3B Ty Wigginton
SS Khalil Greene
CI Adam LaRoche
MI Jason Bartlett
LF Ryan Braun
CF Adam Rowand
RF Milton Bradley
OF Carl Crawford
Util Jim Thome
BN Matt Weiters (C)
BN Rocco Baldelli (Util)

SP David Price
SP Joba Chamberlain
SP Johnny Cueto
SP John Smoltz
SP Justin Masterson
RP Heath Bell
RP Hideki Okajima

Not good, huh? I don't have a chance.

Check out Emily Kendal Frey's new e-chapbook, Airport, at Blue Hour Press. A lucid lyric cycle of short poems with the airport as its main character. You'll never fly again.

Kevin Sampsell interviewed me for the Powell's Books blog. Read it here. He asks me questions about pets, collaborating, Nebraska, Octopus, gravestones, etc. I'm so glad he thinks I'm "handsome but not too handsome." Maybe that would've been a better answer to the what do you want on your gravestone question.

I'll be reading a new chapbook, The Pond (Greying Ghost 2009), in its entirety at 5:15 on March 16 at the upcoming Smallpressapalooza event at Powells

Mathias and I landed some collaborative poems in the newest, and 17th issue of 6x6. I was ashamed of the poems, and still I'm ashamed.
