My apartment neighbor immediately downstairs from me plays her music loudly. This isn't the problem, necessarily: her taste in music is impossibly poor. Here's the set list so far this morning:

she's totally kidding. i do that to my neighbors all the time. now go knock on her door and when she answers, say,"good one. you had me going for a minute, there." then do that juke and dodge fake boxing thing that people do when they're messing with an old buddy they haven't seen for a while.
eggers somewhere said "girls just wanna have fun" is the saddest song ever.
eggers is a dude and will never have the experience of being an eight year old girl dancing in front of her mirror in small town missouri singing into a hair brush the gloriousness that is girls just want to have fun. Sure, we can look back on it with older eyes and see that it could be a sad song, but I prefer to remember the hairbrush and check my cynicism at the door. just this one time however.
but the mix is fantastically terrible
and I agree with will. she is totally kidding. I think you two should battle. Create the worst mix tape ever and leave it at her door. First, post the mix here, though. I want to see it.
I'm gonna disagree with Will and Kate. I think the neighbor is totally serious. People truly do have bad taste. Take my roommate for example. Gary. Now Gary is a gay man. He loves Nascar, Star Trek, and Celine Dion. He'll put together a 10 song winamp playlist including such classics as "Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting" (the kind of song that's good fun if you hear it unexpectedly on the radio every couple of months) and a dash of diva (like Celine's "I'm Alive" and "I Drove All Night"), then he'll proceed to play it loudly on repeat for a week. Sometimes he'll put one of those MadTV joke songs on repeat for an hour at a time. I might have gone crazy by now, but lately he's been addicted to World of Warcraft (a habit that I strongly encouraged) so he no longer uses his computer as a really, really, really bad juke box.

oh, riley, I totally agree. people do have really bad taste. Your roommate sounds awesome.
I just really want zach to post what he feels would be the worst mix tape of all time. and I just think it would be funny if he were to give it to his neighbor.
that is by far not the worst mix tape, chief. "Get Yer Freak On" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" would both make it onto my BEST mix tape, sandwiched between Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" and Black Sabbath's "Fairies Wear Boots" (yeah, you gotta believe!). i would slow dance to the ends of the earth.
